Although you can use the iTunes Store to find and purchase music to put on your iPod Touch, you can also import audio CDs to your computer and then transfer them to the iPod's hard drive. Before attempting to add a CD to your iPod Touch, you should make sure that the device has enough free space available for the additional content.
Items you will need
Step 1
Open the iTunes application on your Mac or PC computer.
Step 2
Insert the audio CD that you want to add to your iPod Touch into the disk drive of your computer. The iTunes program will read the CD and display a list of the songs on it.
Step 3
Highlight all of the songs in the CD listing and drag them into the 'Music' tab underneath the 'Library' heading. The audio CD will be imported to your iTunes library and copied to your computer's hard drive.
Step 4
Plug your iPod Touch into your computer using the iPod USB cable.
Step 5
Click on the name of your iPod Touch in the 'Devices' list on the left side of the window.
Step 6
Go to the 'Music' tab at the top of the iPod information screen and make sure that the 'Sync Music' and 'All Songs and Playlists' options are selected.
Step 7
Click the 'Sync' button in the lower-right corner of the window to transfer the songs from the audio CD to your iPod's hard drive.
